This is an interior renovation for a photographer’s residence - an experiment testifying both one and multiple spaces in a living domain. Like camera diaphragms, diverging frames are arrayed along a polarized space between a warm wooden bedroom and a grey photography room. Various programs are sandwiched between juxtaposing walls while strongly adhered to a unified space. The pure choice of material presents a minimalistic aesthetic for a photographer’s home.

Unlike typical rowhouses in Taiwan, this unconventional setup offers a new interpretation of living spaces. While spaces in traditional rowhouses are fragmented, this project in contrast emphasizes an open plan where living needs are anchored. Living and working are mixed as a hybrid living product responding to an emerging lifestyle.
