Creating a space of life in the connection: A bridge that instead of cutting, connects two museum volumes sculpting the main museum space underneath: the atrium/foyer.

Outdoor activities are a part of everyday life in Helsinki, who has established an integrated network of safe outdoor routes. The bridge wants to be part of this network, assuming cycling and pedestrian through the site.

Two shapes interlaced, leaning to one another creating a covered passage that protects the entrance and gives a sense of threshold in the promenade to/from the park, giving a sense of balance and harmony, an icon for Guggenhiem in Nordic region. At night the museum becomes a lighthouse to the whole bay expressing out the cultural activity, giving light and life to the waterfront plaza.

The building attracts flows from both waterfront and park. The public access then freely to the atrium/ foyer to enjoy a first Guggenheim experience in the most significant space of the building. This central space contracts all accesses, and distributes to the different functions.
